From humble beginnings in 1993, we are a progressive small business based in southeast Melbourne that originally specialized in communications and phone system installations.
In 1994, we partnered with Aria Technologies to supply and install the flagship LG phone system. To date, Metro Group still supply, install, and maintain the Ericsson-LG systems under the original partnership agreement.
Throughout the 2000’s a massive upswing in demand for data delivery increased, and as a result, we quickly established our collective experience with structured cabling, fibre optic cabling and Information Technology.
Then in 2006, Metro Group identified a need in the sector to offer a more seamless and simplified process for our clients when dealing with Communications, Security and Electrical needs. We embarked on a mission to employ additional staff with the highest qualification to make the process simpler.
Today, we are proud to employ a progressive team of staff across all facets of the Communications & Security divisions of the company. We have also developed several strategic partnerships nationally and have a range of highly skilled subcontractors on standby when required. We orientate our business around customer service and have dedicated industry leading teams working to deliver the optimum outcome for our clients.
Communications
Metro Group has extensive experience in Government, Aged Care, Resorts and Office fit outs. Our structured cabling team are highly experienced and certified to install all your Cat5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Single Mode and Multi- Mode Fibre Optic Cabling.
Metro service technicians carry fusions splicers and cable analysers so fault diagnostics and break downs can be dealt with efficiently.

Security
Metro Group’s fully licensed technicians carry government clearances and extensive experience in design, implementation. With our own monitoring bureau we have the capability of providing monitoring, patrolling and static guards as required.
