Projects Overview: 

Metro Group recently completed an complete Design & Construct, integrated security and communications infrastructure project for Walkinshaw Automotive Group, delivering a robust and future-ready solution across security, access control, fibre optic networking, Cat 6A data cabling, intercom, and CCTV systems.

The project was designed in caloboration with Walkinshaws in house IT department to support Walkinshaw Automotive Group’s operational requirements, protecting high-value assets while enabling secure, efficient movement of staff and visitors throughout the facility. Metro Group implemented a centrally managed, server based access control system to regulate entry to secure areas, improving site security and operational control.

A high-definition VMS CCTV system was deployed across key internal and external locations to enhance visibility, safety, and incident monitoring. Intercom systems were installed at nominated entry and exit access points to allow controlled communication and secure entry management via the guard house.

To underpin all systems, Metro Group delivered a high-performance network infrastructure, including redundant fibre optic backbone cabling and Cat 6A structured data cabling for LAN and Wi-Fi. This provided the bandwidth, reliability, and scalability required to support current systems while allowing for future expansion and technology upgrades.

The project was delivered in close coordination with FDC and Salta to ensure minimal over runs. All systems were fully tested and commissioned to deliver a seamless, integrated solution aligned with the client’s security, performance, and reliability expectations.
